How to put a Claude certification on your resume and LinkedIn
A Claude certification on your resume needs four things copied from the badge: the exact credential name, Anthropic as issuer, the issue date with a 12-month expiry, and the public Credly URL. On LinkedIn the same fields go under Licenses and certifications.
Put a Claude certification on your resume in a dedicated Certifications or Licenses and Certifications section: the full credential name and code, Anthropic as issuer, the issue date from Credly with an expiry 12 months later, and the public badge URL where the format allows links. On LinkedIn, open Add profile section, then Licenses and certifications, set the issuer to Anthropic, paste the badge identifier as the credential ID and the public Credly URL as the credential URL, and set the expiration 12 months after the issue date. Never list an exam you have not passed as earned.
Build the Claude certification on your resume from the badge
Resume section names are not standardized, so “Certifications” is a recommendation, not a programme rule. It keeps a proctored credential separate from self-described skills and from education history. Use the shortest entry that preserves identity, current status and verification.

Claude Certified Associate – Foundations (CCAO-F)
Credential: public Credly badge URL
Optional scope: assessed on applied Claude use in business workflows.
On a one-page resume, the optional scope clause can go. Keep it only when it helps a reader distinguish Associate, Developer or Architect work. The verification URL should point to your credential, not the programme homepage and not a screenshot stored elsewhere.
Copy the exact credential name
Anthropic currently publishes four credentials across three roles. Architect has Foundations and Professional levels; the four rows are still separate credentials, each with its own badge and validity period. Use the code after the full name, not as a replacement for it.

Use the issued and expiration dates Credly shows
The current programme does not issue a perpetual credential. Anthropic's certification FAQ states that each certification is valid for 12 months from the date earned. Credentials earned before 30 June 2026 under the old six-month term were automatically extended to 12 months from their original earned date.
Do not calculate a date from memory if the badge already supplies it. Copy Credly's displayed dates and update the resume after an on-time renewal or a lapse. A historical credential can remain relevant, but its dates must make clear that it is no longer current.
Add the credential to LinkedIn
LinkedIn's current path is Add profile section → Recommended → Add licenses & certifications. Its help page says to choose the correct issuing organization from the suggestions so the issuer logo is attached. Set that organization to Anthropic and fill five fields.
Name and issuer
Copy the full credential name from Credly and choose Anthropic as the issuing organization so its logo attaches.
Issue date
Use the month and year shown on the badge, not the day you booked or began preparing.
Expiration date
Set it to 12 months after the issue date. The badge page shows no expiry, but the FAQ and every exam guide say the credential lasts 12 months.
Credential ID
Use the badge identifier from the Credly URL, the string after /badges/. Leave it blank rather than inventing one.
Credential URL
Paste the individual public Credly badge URL. If you keep the badge private, do not publish a broken or inaccessible link.

The one thing it cannot do is check the result: LinkedIn's current help instructions say partner certification links may no longer prefill the profile form, so treat the prefilled values as a draft.
Open the badge in Credly
Sign in, open your Badge Wallet and select the credential you want to share.
Select Share, then LinkedIn
Choose Add to profile rather than Share to feed unless you also want a post.

Use the badge URL for verification; keep the PDF for documents
Anthropic issues a Credly digital badge and also enables a downloadable PDF certificate. They are not interchangeable: the public badge URL lets a reader open the live credential online, while the PDF answers an application that asks for a document. Credly documents the certificate download under the same Share menu, and both need a public badge and profile setting. If you prefer to keep the badge private, omit the URL and supply evidence privately when asked. The Credly badge guide covers what a verifier sees on the public page.
Describe the assessed scope, not a larger status
The safest optional clause paraphrases the current exam guide. CCAO-F, for example, independently assesses knowledge and skills for using Claude effectively and responsibly in real-world business workflows. “Assessed on applied Claude use in business workflows” is defensible; “AI expert” is not.
Developer and Architect credentials have different technical scope. Copying the same generic “Claude expertise” line under all four discards the distinction the programme is designed to make. Review what the current exams test and choose one short clause you can explain with a real project or decision.
The credential is evidence of exam performance, not work history
Passing supports the knowledge and skills in that blueprint. It does not by itself establish years of experience, a job title, project outcomes, authorization to speak for Anthropic, or current certification after the expiration date.
Usually omit the score, and never claim an unearned status
Results come back as a scaled number on a 100 to 1,000 range, and 720 is the bar. How raw answers become that number is not published. Unless an application specifically asks, the exact score adds context a reader is unlikely to have; the credential name, current dates and badge link are clearer.
Do not place a booked or in-progress exam in the earned-certification section. If a scheduled exam is material to a particular application, describe it elsewhere and use explicit future wording. After you pass, add the actual Credly details. For interview follow-up, prepare a scoped example with the interview guide.
A certification line is not evidence that employers request the credential; weigh the time and fee with the separate worth-it analysis instead. And both dates matter because the credential is time-limited, twelve months, with a free renewal window, so an entry with no end date implies more than the badge supports.
