Cred Farmer publishes this comparison and is one of the two platforms in it. Every figure below links to ClaudeCert.com's own page and carries the date we read it. The verdict is computed from published weightings, not written by us.
- Their own pages disagree about the size of their mock exam by more than 2x. The mock page and the practice dashboard both publish a 25-question, 60-minute paper, while the site map lists "60 questions · 90 min · 720 to pass" and the FAQ tells candidates to "Take the full 60-question mock exam (/mock-exam)". A reader who budgets 90 minutes is handed a 25-question, 60-minute test.
- The mock is the same fixed 25 questions on every attempt, and all 25 are also served as the embedded lesson quick checks — so a candidate who works through the 30 lessons has already seen the whole mock before sitting it, while the FAQ presents that mock as the readiness calibration. The quick checks are also domain-scoped rather than lesson-scoped: on five of eight lessons we sampled, the question sitting under a lesson tested a different lesson's material, against an FAQ study method of lesson body then embedded quick check.
- The FAQ hands candidates a memorisation list containing an identifier that is not a published model ID — "Memorize: claude-opus-4-7, claude-sonnet-4-6, claude-haiku-4-5-20251001." — on the same answer that tells them the exam turns on the precise identifier. The published identifier carries no date suffix, so the error goes straight into a candidate's memorisation list.
- The model content is roughly four months stale against a claim of continuous updating. The FAQ says "As of May 2026: Opus 4.7, Sonnet 4.6, and Haiku 4.5 are the current production lineup", the newest journal post is dated 2026-05-17, and the same FAQ answers the update question with "Continuously." As of 2026-09-03 the published Claude lineup has moved well past that reference set, and model-selection scenarios are an examined topic.
- A dashboard with zero progress reads "Hours to ready" — 4 h — while the site's own FAQ says "Most engineers who've shipped with Claude before are ready in 8–15 hours of focused study. People newer to Claude typically need 20–30 hours." The one number a candidate would plan around disagrees with the rest of the site by two to seven times.
- The team page advertises its cohort pilot as including "a live Q&A and an Anthropic engineer guest", while every other page on the site states it has no affiliation or connection with Anthropic. No name or arrangement is given, so the line reads as implied involvement in a product that elsewhere disclaims exactly that.

- Genuinely free with no account wall, and the site says so plainly: "Every lesson, the diagnostic, drill mode, the audiobook, the mock exam, and the 14-Day Plan are free with no signup required." There is no pricing page, no checkout and no email gate anywhere, and no route redirects to a login. Against any prep site with a login wall — Cred Farmer's included — that is a structural advantage, not a marketing line.
- It discloses its own limits before anyone asks. The Terms state that "Our practice questions, mock exam, and case studies are original to this Site; they are not Anthropic's actual exam content" and that "Use of the Site does not guarantee a passing result on any examination." Every case study labels its own fiction inline in the company field — "ScaleOps (fictional, ~250 employees)" — rather than burying it in a footnote.
- The adaptive machinery is described with a named, citable method rather than a vague personalisation claim: per-knowledge-point Bayesian Knowledge Tracing attributed to Corbett & Anderson (1995) with a stated 90% mastery threshold, and SM-2 with Again/Hard/Good/Easy in drill mode. The FAQ explains the mechanism in enough detail that a reader can audit it.
- It carries no third-party trackers, analytics scripts or advertising. A scan of the raw homepage for the common analytics, tag-manager and ad vendors returns nothing at all; the only external hosts referenced anywhere in the document are Anthropic's own course host and the footer credit's domain. The published privacy posture is specific — server logs retained 14 days, progress kept in the reader's own browser under a named key prefix — and it holds up.

- You will not, or cannot, sign in with a Google or GitHub account — corporate policy, a shared machine, or simple preference. ClaudeCert requires no identity of any kind and keeps your progress in your own browser.
- You want the smallest possible data footprint. ClaudeCert runs no analytics, no ads and no third-party trackers, and stores nothing against an account. Cred Farmer runs server-side product analytics and ties your progress to a login.
- You want to listen rather than read. ClaudeCert publishes a 38-chapter, 2h 22m audiobook edition of its whole curriculum plus read-aloud narration; Cred Farmer publishes no audio at all.

The practice hub at /dashboard/practice carries the same fixed mock, and /practice, /questions, /exams and /study all return HTTP 404, so practice is reachable only through that mock, the diagnostic, the 25-card drill deck and the one quick check per lesson.
- The spaced-repetition deck is 25 cards against a 160-knowledge-point curriculum, so most of the syllabus is never scheduled for review.
- No team accounts, seats, cohort dashboard or manager-visible progress reporting; progress is stored per browser in local storage, so there is no shared state to report on.
- The site contradicts itself on cross-device sync: the FAQ describes sign-in sync as roadmap with the scaffolding in place but no provider wired, and the site map qualifies sign-in as depending on the deployment, while /about, /privacy and a May 2026 journal post titled "Cloud progress sync just went live" describe it as already working. Which is operative cannot be settled from the published pages; on the FAQ's account, progress lives in one browser and is lost when site data is cleared.
- No published support structure beyond a single email address and an on-page tutor chat: no ticketing, no stated response time, and no named operator or company beyond a "Powered by DigitalBoutique.ai" footer credit.
