Head to head

Cred Farmer vs ClaudeCertificationGuide.com: which should you use?

Cred Farmer scores higher under every reader profile published here, but ClaudeCertificationGuide.com still wins on specific criteria listed below.

Cred Farmer publishes this comparison and is one of the two platforms in it. Every figure below links to ClaudeCertificationGuide.com's own page and carries the date we read it. The verdict is computed from published weightings, not written by us.

Worth knowing before you buy.
  • The homepage publishes "Trusted by 150,000+ learners worldwide" with no methodology, source or date, alongside a "Learners active in the last 30 minutes" counter whose number is rendered client-side and does not appear in the served HTML.
  • Five testimonials naming individuals and their employers are presented as "Unprompted messages from readers who sat the exam"; none is independently verifiable from the site, and one credits a "CCA-F" exam code that matches none of the four codes the site itself lists.
  • The changelog states "The landing-page FAQ now covers the guide's retake and renewal policies", but the homepage contains no occurrence of the word "retake".

Who wins, by what you need

Each row is that profile's published weighting applied to both platforms' criterion scores. Nothing here is hand-assigned — change the weights and the winners change.

What each one is better at

Where ClaudeCertificationGuide.com is stronger

  • Everything is free and genuinely ungated: complete lesson bodies, the mock-exam flow, the diagnostic, drill mode and the progress dashboard all load anonymously, with no account, no email capture and no paywall interstitial.
  • The CCAR-F mock is a real full-length timed paper — 60 questions in 120 minutes, weighted by domain, scaled to 1,000 points with a 720 pass mark, an auto-submitting clock, randomised question and option order, flag-for-review and explanations after submission.
  • The curriculum is specific to Claude rather than generic certification filler: 30 lessons across the five CCAR-F domains (7/5/6/6/6) covering the Messages API agentic loop and stop_reason values, MCP configuration, CLAUDE.md hierarchy, Agent SDK hooks and slash commands, each with a hands-on build exercise.
  • The 25-question untimed diagnostic returns per-domain scores and a personalised study order weighted by both weakness and domain weight, so a new user gets a route through the material in about fifteen minutes.
  • The three exams with no prep content still publish full blueprint pages — domain weights, task statements, item count, time limit, delivery, fee, and retake and renewal policy — which is useful reference even before anything is built.
  • A dated changelog records substantive content corrections, including realigning lessons to the published exam guide and fixing specific technical claims, not just feature announcements.
  • Value and access: scores 5/5 against our 4/5.

 Cred FarmerClaudeCertificationGuide.com
Certifications coveredAll four: CCAO-F, CCDV-F, CCAR-F and CCAR-P, in one account, with a study guide, question bank, mocks and flashcards for each.
Evidence

“Study guides mapped to every domain, four full mock exams per certification, spaced-repetition flashcards, and a readiness score that tracks you per domain.”

Cred Farmer, read at https://credfarmer.com/certifications on 3 September 2026

All four Claude certifications appear on the site, but only CCAR-F (Claude Certified Architect (Foundations)) has prep content, and it is free. CCAR-P, CCAO-F and CCDV-F each have a "Coming soon" page carrying that exam's blueprint — domains and weights, item count, time limit, delivery, fee, retake and renewal policy — plus an email waitlist form, with no lessons, no practice questions and no mock exam. There is no separate CCAR-F certification page (that URL returns 404); its exam facts sit across the learn and mock-exam pages. The site's own CCAO-F page states the Architect track is not a substitute for the Associate exam.
Evidence

“Four certifications, one guide. Claude Certified Architect (Foundations) is live and free today; the other three are coming soon. Open a track to see what its exam covers.”

ClaudeCertificationGuide.com, read at https://claudecertificationguide.com/ on 3 September 2026

Practice questions1,180 across the four banks — 300 CCAO-F, 265 CCDV-F, 300 CCAR-F, 315 CCAR-P. Roughly 300 per exam, which is mid-table here rather than the deepest bank.
Evidence

“1,180 Practice questions”

Cred Farmer, read at https://credfarmer.com/ on 3 September 2026

250+ practice questions, for CCAR-F only. Separately there is a 25-question diagnostic and mock sittings of 28 or 60 questions. No per-domain question counts are published, no mock-question pool size is published, and there is no question bank for the other three exams.
Evidence

“30 lessons, 250+ practice questions, and a full mock exam, all free.”

ClaudeCertificationGuide.com, read at https://claudecertificationguide.com/ on 3 September 2026

Study material119 study sections mapped to the published exam objectives, plus ten written hands-on labs and a 120-card rapid-recall deck per certification. Written material only — no video and no instructor.
Evidence

“119 Study sections”

Cred Farmer, read at https://credfarmer.com/ on 3 September 2026

30 lessons across the five CCAR-F domains (7/5/6/6/6 modules), each with exam traps, source citations and a hands-on build exercise — 30 exercises in total — plus five printable per-domain quick-reference sheets and five per-domain glossary pages. Lesson bodies render in full anonymously with no gate. Content exists for CCAR-F only.
Evidence

“30 lessons across 5 exam domains, each with exam traps and practice scenarios”

ClaudeCertificationGuide.com, read at https://claudecertificationguide.com/about on 3 September 2026

Full-length timed mocks20 full-length timed papers — five per certification, each at the real exam's item count and 120-minute clock (60 / 53 / 60 / 63 items). Four are scenario mock exams and the fifth is an objective mastery challenge at the same length. Note our own pages count these differently: /certifications says "four full mock exams per certification", which counts the mocks and not the mastery paper.
Evidence

“20 Timed mock exams”

Cred Farmer, read at https://credfarmer.com/ on 3 September 2026

Yes, full-length and timed, for CCAR-F only. Two sittings are offered: the full-length 60 questions in 120 minutes, and a quick 28 questions in 56 minutes, selected from a two-option sitting picker on the start page. Both are timed with a clock that auto-submits and cannot be paused, drawn from four randomly selected scenarios covering all five domains, scored weighted by domain on a 1,000-point scale with 720 to pass, with flag-for-review, randomised question and option order, and explanations shown after submission.
Evidence

“Two sittings, both at the real exam's pace: a quick 28-question mock in 56 minutes, or the full-length 60 questions in 120 minutes — the real exam's exact format. Weighted scoring out of 1,000 points; you need 720 to pass.”

FlashcardsYes — a 120-card rapid-recall deck per certification, served through a spaced-repetition drill rather than as a static list.
Evidence

“Flashcard drills resurface each concept right before you'd forget it.”

Cred Farmer, read at https://credfarmer.com/ on 3 September 2026

Spaced repetitionYes — an SM-2 scheduler, scheduling each card individually from a four-way rating, with lapses requeued inside the same session.
Evidence

“Study guides mapped to every domain, four full mock exams per certification, spaced-repetition flashcards, and a readiness score that tracks you per domain.”

Cred Farmer, read at https://credfarmer.com/certifications on 3 September 2026

Drill Mode carries spaced-repetition mechanics: the dated changelog documents Again/Hard/Good/Easy self-ratings, per-card scheduling intervals and a hidden interval label on a brand-new card, and the progress dashboard tracks questions seen, mastered and due today. No scheduling algorithm is named on the site, and the drill interface is client-rendered — the served HTML returns only a loading state — so the scheduling behaviour could not be observed running.
Evidence

“Again/Hard/Good/Easy self-rating distribution”

ClaudeCertificationGuide.com, read at https://claudecertificationguide.com/changelog on 3 September 2026

DiagnosticsObjective-level mastery tracking with weak-domain routing: a missed question feeds a targeted drill by objective, by domain, or from your own misses, ordered confidently-wrong first.
Evidence

“Study guides mapped to every domain, four full mock exams per certification, spaced-repetition flashcards, and a readiness score that tracks you per domain.”

Cred Farmer, read at https://credfarmer.com/certifications on 3 September 2026

A 25-question untimed diagnostic — five per domain, roughly 15 minutes — covering recall, application and scenario-analysis items, returning per-domain scores and a personalised study order that puts the weakest and highest-weight domains first. Retakeable. CCAR-F only.
Evidence

“25 questions — 5 per domain, covering all exam areas”

ClaudeCertificationGuide.com, read at https://claudecertificationguide.com/learn/diagnostic on 3 September 2026

Readiness / adaptive pathA per-certification readiness score. Performance is 60% and preparation 40%, but an evidence gate caps the total: if your mock scores sit below the pass mark, preparation cannot lift you past "almost ready" however much you read. Only the first sitting of each distinct paper counts, drills and self-rated confidence are excluded, and a study section is only marked complete when you answer its checkpoint questions correctly — there is no "mark as complete" button.
Evidence

“Our readiness engine calculates a precise, real-time score based on your study history and mock test performance.”

Cred Farmer, read at https://credfarmer.com/ on 3 September 2026

A 0-100 Exam Readiness score on the progress dashboard, composed of Lessons (30%), Practice Exams (40%) and Drill (30%), alongside per-domain lesson completion. Lesson completion is self-marked, and the changelog shows part of the Drill component rests on Again/Hard/Good/Easy self-ratings, so a substantial share of the score can move without answering a question correctly. The diagnostic generates a personalised study order weighted by weakness and domain weight.
Evidence

“Track your readiness across all 5 domains and see how close you are to passing the exam.”

No charge. There is no paid tier, subscription or upsell of any kind for this site's content; the only money link is an optional donation. The dollar figures that appear on the site ($125 CCAR-F, $99 CCAO-F, $175 CCAR-P, $125 CCDV-F) are attributed to Anthropic as the exam fee, not charged by this site.
Evidence

“The site is free and always will be. If this guide helped you prepare, you can buy me a coffee. Support goes to keeping the lights on.”

Which to choose

Choose ClaudeCertificationGuide.com if…

  • You are sitting CCAR-F and will not create an account. Everything here, including the full-length timed mock, is open with no sign-up, where Cred Farmer requires a login before you can practise.
  • You want a full-length timed paper tonight, for free, on a shared or locked-down machine where registering is awkward or unwanted.
  • You learn by building rather than reading: every one of the 30 lessons carries its own hands-on build exercise, 30 in total across the five domains, and all of them open without an account.
  • You only want to know what CCAO-F, CCDV-F or CCAR-P actually covers — weights, item count, time limit, fee, retake and renewal policy — and are not ready to commit to a study platform yet.
  • You want to check a curriculum's sources before trusting it: each lesson cites the Anthropic documentation and Agent SDK pages it is built from.

Choose Cred Farmer if…

  • You expect to sit more than one Claude certification and would rather not rebuild your study setup for each.
  • You have booked an exam and want an honest read on whether you would pass, from a score that will not flatter you for reading more.
  • You want spaced repetition and objective-level weak-area routing without paying for them.
  • You want the full preparation loop — study, timed mocks, retention and diagnosis — in one place rather than assembled from three free sites.

What ClaudeCertificationGuide.com does not offer

  • Only CCAR-F has prep content; CCAO-F, CCDV-F and CCAR-P have a blueprint page and a waitlist form, with no lessons, no practice questions and no mock exam.
  • No CCAO-F study material at all — the site states its Architect track is developer-aimed and is not a substitute for the Associate exam.
  • No standalone flashcard feature; the retention mechanics live inside drill mode.
  • No user accounts. Progress, drill history and mock attempts are stored in browser local storage only, so nothing syncs across devices and clearing site data or switching browsers loses everything.
  • No team, cohort, organisation or admin features of any kind.
  • The Exam Readiness score can move without answering a question correctly: 30% comes from self-marked lesson completion and part of the drill component rests on self-ratings.
  • One published full-length mock format, drawn from four randomly selected scenarios, so repeat sittings work from a limited scenario pool.
  • The published question count is a single "250+" figure, with no per-domain breakdown and no published size for the mock-question pool.
  • No mobile app and no offline mode beyond printing the quick-reference sheets.
  • No site search, and no per-question review history outside drill mode.
  • No published support address or response commitment; contact runs through a feedback button and a GitHub issue link.

Observable gaps in what the site publishes, not judgements about quality. We have run no blind review of anyone's questions, including our own, so nothing here compares how good the content is — only what each platform offers.

Common questions

Is ClaudeCertificationGuide.com better than Cred Farmer?

Cred Farmer scores higher under every reader profile published here, but ClaudeCertificationGuide.com still wins on specific criteria listed below. Under the balanced weighting, ClaudeCertificationGuide.com scores 61 and Cred Farmer scores 82 out of 100. The weightings are published and adjustable, so the honest answer depends on which exam you are sitting and what you can spend.

Is this comparison independent?

No. Cred Farmer publishes it and is one of the two platforms in it. That is why the rubric is published, every figure links to ClaudeCertificationGuide.com's own pages with the date it was checked, and the verdict above is computed from those published weightings rather than written by us.

Is ClaudeCertificationGuide.com an official Anthropic product?

No. Neither is Cred Farmer. Anthropic publishes the exam guides and Pearson VUE delivers the exams; every platform in this comparison is independent of both.

How current are these figures?

Everything here was read on ClaudeCertificationGuide.com's own site on 3 September 2026. Prices, question counts and free tiers change without notice — follow the source links before you rely on a figure, and email hello@credfarmer.com if you find one out of date.
